One of the themes of the detached house is "prayer" entrusted to the power of precious and giant trees.
Enter through the entrance hall with its magnificent roof, change into slippers, and enter the "corridor" with its large cypress boards.
Enter through the main entrance of the detached house, change into slippers, and enter the "corridor" with its large cypress boards.
Along the long corridor runs a 10-ken long single cedar ceiling, covered with paulownia wood chips.
Proceeding to the two-room room on the left, there are fine wood alcove pillars, ornaments, and custom-made retro-style lighting fixtures.
All the pillars in the corridor are straight-grained on all four sides. There are also transoms and paintings on the wooden doors, and in the two-room room on the right, there are folding screens and
calligraphy. The calligraphy is a magnificent poem of the Eight Winds by Zen Master Arai Seki, who also lived at Untoan.
